Wash Process

Washing exotics woods includes the following steps:

SETUP: We begin by protecting the working area including any structures and/or surrounding landscaping.

WASH: A qualified Deck Tech Technician professionally power-washes the wood surface. Depending on the wood type the technician determines and regulates the required water pressure.

CLEAN: If needed, a commercial grade biodegradable cleaner is applied and rinsed from the wood surface in preparation for the sealing process.

Stain Removal

Removing semi-transparent stains and/or paints from exotic wood surfaces includes the following steps:

The initial step in the stain-removal process is the complete removal of any previous product. DT-1000, our sealant, penetrates deeply into the wood fibers and provides complete protection of the newly cleaned wood surface.

SETUP: We begin by protecting the working area including any structures and/or surrounding landscaping.

STAIN REMOVER APPLICATION: A qualified Deck Tech Technician will begin the removal of the old product by applying a commercial grade biodegradable stain remover to the wood surface.

WASH: A qualified Deck Tech Technician professionally power-washes the wood surface. Depending on the wood type the technician determines and regulates the required water pressure.

COMPLETION: After washing, the Deck Tech technician applies a PH neutralizer to the wood surface and then rinses it off in preparation for the sealing process

Sealing Process

To conduct the sealing process of exotic woods (our final process) a crew of 3-4 qualified Deck Tech Technicians will return to the job site and perform the following steps:

SETUP: We begin by protecting the working area including any structures and/or surrounding landscaping.

SAND: The deck is given a light sanding on the affected areas (e.i. floors, pickets, top rails, seated areas of the deck, etc.).

CONSULT: Depending on the type of exotic wood to be sealed, your Deck Tech Representative may consult with you on the recommended type of sealant required.

SEAL: Once the previous steps have been completed your deck is sealed with a specific sealer based on your exotic wood type.

CLEANUP: The surrounding job site area is thoroughly cleaned
